    The Administrative Assistant will be the key support to the President of the Rights division and will gain an extensive understanding of the inner workings of a growing international television distribution operation. From international sales & acquisitions, to asset & rights management, and department administration, the successful applicant will have the opportunity to work in one of the most interesting, dynamic and profitable media sectors. Responsibilities:

    • Provide assistance to the President, Boat Rocker Rights including preparation of expense reports, calendar scheduling and beverage/meal runs.
    • Accurately enter data into rights management system, asset management system and other databases
    • Effectively maintain department schedules, including market schedules, registrations and deadlines
    • Update and manage master sales screening portals including episode selection and promos
    • Prepare and/or courier electronic or physical screening packages to international clients
    • Track, maintain, and prepare status report updates for third party producers and partnerships
    • Circulate executed license and producer agreements to appropriate internal and external parties
    • Coordinate all market and dedicated sales trips for executive team – flights, accommodation, airport transportation
    • Package and ship sales materials, catalogues, business cards, and supplies for markets and conferences
    • Order, prepare and/or pick up meals and beverages and arrange ground transportation for client meetings and events
    • Provide team meeting support, including scheduling and materials preparation
      Qualifications:
    • 5+ years experience providing administrative support to senior level management including booking meetings and maintaining multiple/conflicting calendars
    • Proven ability performing multiple tasks in an environment with dynamic priorities
    • Demonstrated experience in data entry
    • Excellent communication skills, oral and written
    • Ability to maintain discretion and confidentiality
    • Ability to work independently, take initiative and problem solve
    • Highly organized, detail-oriented, and efficient
    • Strong knowledge of the MS Office suite including Word, Excel, PowerPoint
    • Previous experience in television or other entertainment sectors is considered an asset but not necessary

    The Coordinator, Media Services will be responsible for advising the Boat Rocker Rights sales team on all technical aspects of a potential sale. Responsibilities

    • Advise the Boat Rocker Rights sales team on all technical aspects of a potential sale
    • Prepare main and supporting deliverable materials in-house for delivery to sales clients as necessary
    • Deliver main and supporting materials to clients as necessary
    • Place orders with external vendors to deliver materials for processing/delivery to sales clients as necessary
    • Work with external clients to resolve any issues encountered during the delivery process
    • Maintain a schedule of active and pending deliveries
      Qualifications
    • Demonstrated experience using Adobe Premiere, MediaEncoder and Audition
    • Proven ability to use Avid MediaComposer, Adobe AfterEffects and Final Cut Compressor considered an asset
    • Demonstrated knowledge of professional video and audio codecs/filetypes, international broadcast standards (SD/HD/UHD), Colour Spaces & Primaries, Dynamic Range (SDR/HDR), video framerates & framerate conversion techniques

    FALL/WINTER INTERNSHIP: OCTOBER– DECEMBER We are looking for a dynamic individual who takes initiative, feels passionate about their work and will support the Development and Production team at Radical Sheep Productions on a variety of new and ongoing projects. Our ideal candidate has previous exposure to the industry and is eager to learn and adapt to the fast-paced, ever-changing environment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

    • Managing the department’s administrative needs
    • Coverage across entire Development slate
    • Oversee incoming pitch and material submissions
    • Supporting ongoing production and development matters
    • Coordinating travel and meetings
    • Industry and trends research
    • Assisting and liaising with other departments and teams
    • Designing sales materials
    • Covering front reception/answering phones on occasion as needed
    REQUIREMENTS
    • Preferably someone with a TV or Film background
    • In depth understanding of the kid’s media industry landscape both in Canada and internationally
    • Proficient skills in Photoshop
    • Candidate must be passionate about children’s media/content
    • Excited and motivated researcher
    • A self-starter with a keen interest to learn
    • A people person with the ability to communicate confidently and professionally in person, via telephone, and via e-mail
    • Excellent communication skills, positive attitude, and a problem-solving approach
    • Passion for storytelling
    • Familiar with Radical Sheep’s slate
    • Competence in Microsoft Office products
    • Helpful to have a basic background or understanding of post-production work. (Adobe Premiere, Final Cut etc.)

    The Rights Management, Coordinator will be experienced in rights management and a detailed-oriented professional who will fulfil an integral role on the Boat Rocker Rights team. The successful candidate will participate in the implementation and ongoing updates to the rights management system. Responsibilities:  

    • Work directly with Sr. Manager and Director on the implementation of rights management system, including new development, data testing and ingestion of backlog content and deal details
    • Read, interpret and input distribution sales licenses and acquisitions agreements into rights management system
    • Coordinate rights management onboarding for development, production and acquired projects
    • Maintain and submit cue sheets and other copyright registrations with various collectives
    • Advise sales executives and business affairs on rights availabilities to conclude deals
    • Other duties and responsibilities as required
      Qualifications & Experience:  
    • Previous experience with rights management databases is strongly preferred
    • Previous experience in television distribution or other entertainment sectors
    • Proficiency and precision with data entry
